Student Handouts

This lesson will be the last lesson in the unit. Student will connect ideas in previous lessons by either writing a letter to a congressperson arguing for an end to the “Christopher Columbus Day” holiday or writing a “Dear Columbus” letter about the problem with making assumptions about unfamiliar cultures and peoples. This lesson will bring together the main ideas of the unit and will allow students to demonstrate what they have learned.
